About Us

In 1968 St Margaret’s Presbyterian Church united with Garstang Road Congregational Church in the current premises on Symonds Road, Fulwood.  When the United Reformed Church was formed a few years later we became known as Garstang Road URC but this was later changed to Fulwood URC.  When Grimshaw Street URC closed, many of the members transferred to Fulwood.

Our morning congregation averages just over 20 and worship is fairly traditional.  Although we do not have a regular Junior Church at present, the Leaders would take any visiting children for Junior Church activities part way through the service.  We normally use Rejoice & Sing for our hymn book but also have Complete Mission Praise (the first edition) as an alternative.  PowerPoint is used at some services but printed copies of the words are also provided.

Holy Communion is celebrated at our morning service once a month (plus Easter Sunday), normally on the second Sunday of the month.  Please check our What’s on page for details of forthcoming services.
